Why Al-Qaida is not a Muslim organization

I'll begin with a summary of why Al-Qaida is an outlaw according to Islamic law. Any single one of the following acts is enough for Al-Qaida to go out of the fold of Islam:
  1. Insurgency is illegal in Islam. The choice for Muslims living under the rule of a non-Muslim government is that they accept it, or leave the country. There is no third option. Al-Qaida tries to unsettle governments all over the world, making the organization an outlaw from Islamic law.
  2. In Islam the end doesn't justify the means. No matter what good end somebody has in mind, if it involves hurting an innocent person, it becomes a crime. Al-Qaida kills innocent people everywhere every day. They are murderers according to Islam and should be prosecuted for their crimes.
  3. Al-Qaida carries out suicide attacks. Suicide is forbidden in Islam, since it is like murder, no matter what goal the person has in mind.

As an introduction, I'll include an article by Detroit Muslim Examiner that sums up the issue very nicely:

The Online Etymology Dictionary traces back the origins of the word 'radical' as follows:

"1398 (adj.), in a medieval philosophical sense, from L.L. radicalis "of or having roots," from L. radix (gen. radicis) "root" (see radish). Meaning "going to the origin, essential" is from 1651. Political sense of "reformist" (via notion of "change from the roots") is first recorded 1802 (n.), 1820 (adj.), of the extreme section of the British Liberal party (radical reform had been a current phrase since 1786); meaning "unconventional" is from 1921. U.S. youth slang use is from 1983, from 1970s surfer slang meaning "at the limits of control." Radical chic is attested from 1970."

Now on to our present days. The word 'radical Islam' became famous and adopted by such media outlets like the Associated Press after the biased Jewish documentary, Obsession, invented it. The movie has spawned numerous websites and blogs, all of them claiming to 'expose' and fight something called 'radical Islam'.

The ringleaders of the 'radical Islam' campaign try to convince people that there are parts of the mainstream, Quran-following, Islam that is bad and 'radical'. This is not a campaign to fight terrorists, it is a campaign to fight and outlaw all of Islam.

Islam is a religion that teaches people to live in peace, no matter what religion they believe in. Islam requires Muslims, if they are the rulers of the country, to fight and die to protect their Christian and Jewish brothers. Islam requires Muslims, if they are ruled by people from other faiths, to accept their ruling fully, or leave. In Islam there is no option for a Muslim to fight the country he lives in. The only time when a Muslim is allowed to fight is in defending his country, his family or his life.

Are there Muslim extremists? No there aren't! As soon as someone or some organization, like Al-Qaida, sanctions the killing of innocent people, or fighting the country it lives in, it goes out of the fold of Islam. They become outlaws according to Islamic law.

Al-Qaida is nothing but a tool used by different intelligence agencies around the world. They do things only the CIA or the Mossad are capable of doing. They do it in the name of Islam. Doesn't it make more sense that they work for the enemies of Islam, to defame it? They are no longer Muslims.

Insurgency is illegal in Islam. The choice is either to accept the rule of the government of your country, or leave. There is no third option.

In Islam's early days, the Muslims were prosecuted for 13 years, they were torchered, thrown out of their cities and killed, and not one person fought back. The Prophet didn't allow it. Some left Arabia for Ethiopia and lived under the protection of the Christian king there, who later converted to Islam. And in Arabia, when life became completely unbearable for the Muslims, they left for another city that had accepted Islam (Madinah).
